Jackson police are searching for Robert Jackson, 25, accused in the shooting death of a 5-year-old on the 1400 block of Bailey Avenue Sunday afternoon. Police say the shooting happened after a domestic altercation between the mother of the victim and Jackson. According to police, shots were fired into the vehicle the 5-year-old was occupying, striking the child identified as Mariyah Lacey. She later died from her injuries at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. The mother has been identified as Lacey Self.Jackson police are asking the public to help with their search of Robert Jackson.
