OCP wins six 2022 Excellence in Publishing Awards
OCP was a standout again in this year’s Excellence in Publishing Awards conferred by the Association of Catholic Publishers
PORTLAND, Ore. — OCP was a standout again in this year’s Excellence in Publishing Awards
conferred by the Association of Catholic Publishers, taking home six awards including
Distinguished Catholic Composer of the Year and sweeping the entire Song of the Year
category.
Paul Inwood was named the ACP’s Distinguished Catholic Composer of the Year for his musical
settings of James Quinn’s hymns in the collection Come, Praise the Lord, while composer
Kathleen Basi’s “Come, All You Thirsty” was named ACP’s 2022 Song of the Year.
“Amid the Storm” by Kevin Keil and Kate Bluett won second place in the Song of the Year
category and “Pan del Cielo/Bread from Heaven” by Iván Díaz and Kairy Marquez won third.
Composer Curtis Stephan’s collection The Sound of Victory with the Mass of St. Kilian also won
him the honor of second place in the Distinguished Catholic Composer of the Year category.
