Adams County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a deadly Father’s Day shooting. Shortly after midnight, 9-1-1 dispatch received a domestic disturbance call at a home on Carmel Church Road. Before deputies arrived, authorities say Calvin Carter forced a woman into his vehicle at gunpoint and left the scene. According to officials, a family member of the woman followed Carter down Shieldsboro Road where an altercation occurred. Carter was shot and later died. The woman was taken to the hospital for her injuries. According to Sheriff Travis Patten, evidence is being collected at multiple crime scenes and the investigation is ongoing. So far, no arrests have been made.
