One Star Wars cosplayer has captured the impatience of Anakin Skywalker’s Padawan Ahsoka Tano in a Star Wars: The Clone Wars cosplay. Nicknamed ‘Snips’ by Anakin because of her tendency to have a quick comeback and an attitude, Ahsoka is known for being charmingly sarcastic and perhaps a bit irritable, particularly in her younger years. It makes sense why Master Yoda would have selected Anakin as Ahsoka’s master; the two share traits, good and bad, that make them both a strong fit and an important lesson for each other.
Ahsoka Tano cosplayer snippycosplay shows Ahsoka in her traditional Clone Wars attire, looking disgruntled as she waits for a late Anakin Skywalker. The playful nature of the cosplay is a nostalgic representation of the constant banter between the two in The Clone Wars series.
Perhaps the best part of this cosplay is the way it relays the dynamic between Ahsoka and Anakin; although Anakin was the master, Ahsoka was often irked by him, almost reversing the Padawan’s role.
Anakin & Ahsoka’s History In Star Wars Explained
Anakin Skywalker and Ahsoka Tano have a meaningful, yet tragic relationship in Star Wars. How did they meet, and what happened between them?
The Impact on Ahsoka After Anakin’s Fall to the Dark Side is the Most Brutal to Watch
After Anakin Skywalker fell to the dark side and became Darth Vader, the end of his many close relationships was tough to watch. Not only does Anakin lose Padmé, the love of his life and the mother of his children, but he also loses Obi-Wan Kenobi, whom Anakin referred to as a father figure in Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones. The loss of his relationship with Ahsoka is particularly brutal, though, in part because Ahsoka seems lost without him.
Although Padmé’s storyline is perhaps the most tragic because she does not survive the emergence of Darth Vader, Ahsoka is left truly alone and with nothing after Order 66.When she reappears in Rebels only to discover that her former master was not dead but was a Sith Lord, that loneliness becomes almost insurmountable grief. Ahsoka is isolated, haunted by her choice to leave the Jedi Order and believing that everyone she knows is dead. Given the intensity of Ahsoka’s allegiance to Anakin was in The Clone Wars, this loss of their friendship is nearly too much to bear.
