Business is booming in the city of Ridgeland. A $10.5 million development investment was unanimously approved by the board of aldermen in their meeting on Tuesday.The plan is bringing businesses like an Aldi grocery store, Amazon Web Services, retail stores and the first Top Golf in the state. The new sites will be located next door to Costco. Ridgeland Mayor Gene Mcgee says the development speaks to the city’s business climate.“We have the lowest taxes around, but the services are high, and that’s what businesses want, so we’re excited about that,” said McGee.People in the city are excited for a better quality of life. New sites for T.J. Maxx, Old Navy, PetSmart, and La-Z-Boy will be located next door to Costco. The city says businesses should be ready to open within the next two years.
