Multiple new MCU installments have been confirmed for Phase 6. Within a two-year period, Marvel Studios will release a slew of new movies and shows. Known as Phase 6, this assortment of MCU projects makes up the final chapter of what Disney has dubbed, “The Multiverse Saga.”

The Multiverse Saga consists of three waves of MCU content, with the third expected to serve as the culmination of everything that happened in Phases 4 and 5. During this time, the stories of several MCU fan favorites could come to an end, while others may just be taking off. At the center of it all is Kang the Conqueror, who has been framed as the overarching antagonist of the Multiverse Saga. Phase 6 is in a position to conclude the battle with Jonathan Majors’ character, as well as a few other remaining loose ends. Here are the announced release dates for every Phase 6 installment, and what should be expected from them.

Deadpool 3 – November 8, 2024

Deadpool in Deadpool 2016

A franchise previously separate from the MCU is about to join the world of the Avengers, Spider-Man, and the Guardians of the Galaxy. Fox’s X-Men universe may be dead on account of Disney’s purchase of 20th Century Fox, but the story of Ryan Reynolds’ Merc with a Mouth will live on. In 2024, Marvel will release Deadpool 3, its first R-rated movie. Whether or not it will bring in anyone from the first two movies’ supporting casts remains to be seen, but at least one character associated with Fox’s X-Men franchise is confirmed to appear alongside Reynolds in Deadpool 3. Hugh Jackman will reprise his iconic role as Wolverine in his first live-action team-up with Wolverine.

Deadpool 3 will be directed by Shawn Levy (Free Guy) and may be the movie that kicks off Phase 6. Originally, it was thought that its first installment would be Fantastic Four, but that may no longer be the case now that Deadpool 3 has been added to the slate and dates have been moved back. If the plan is still for Thunderbolts to end Phase 5, Deadpool may be what starts Phase 6 since it’s hitting theaters before Fantastic Four.

Fantastic Four – February 25, 2025

John Krasinski as Mr Fantastic in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness

In a movie that was originally scheduled for a 2025 release, Marvel’s First Family will finally join the MCU. One of the four characters, already appeared via John Krasinski’s cameo in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Krasinski played the Earth-838 version of Mr. Fantastic. Of course, with the story being set in one of the many timelines in the MCU’s multiverse, there’s no telling if Fantastic Four will bring back the actor to play Reed Richards’ Earth-616 counterpart or start from scratch. All four members of the team could wind up being played by actors new to the MCU. WandaVision director Matt Shakman has been tapped to helm the project.

Avengers: The Kang Dynasty – May 2, 2025

The Avengers will reassemble for a fifth meeting in Avengers: The Kang Dynasty, which will be directed by Destin Daniel Cretton (Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings). No plot details or even a team roster has been released, but its title makes the identity of the villain abundantly clear. As many suspected as soon as the character was cast, Jonathan Majors’ Kang the Conqueror will soon cross paths with the Avengers. After appearing as He Who Remains (a Kang variant) in Loki’s ending, Majors will be back as the time-travelling villain in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. It would seem that whatever transpires during Ant-Man’s adventure in the Quantum Realm will lay the groundwork for a battle between the Avengers and Kang.

Avengers: Secret Wars – May 1, 2026

Avengers Secret Wars She-Hulk

Similar to how Marvel released Infinity War and Endgame in back-to-back years, the studio will follow up The Kang Dynasty with Avengers: Secret Wars, which will be a summer release in 2026. Given its proximity to the previous film and the fact that it serves as the finale of the Multiverse Saga, it’s possible that the movies are a two-part story with Kang acting as the villain of both, but that has yet to be confirmed. As for what the story will entail, Secret Wars is an adaptation of the comic book crossover of the same name. The original Secret Wars comic united heroes from across the Marvel Universe to battle their biggest villains after they were all gathered together by a cosmic being known as the Beyonder.

Armor Wars

Previously announced as a six-episode Disney+ series, Armor Wars is now slated to release as an MCU movie. While not officially a part of Phase 6 yet, Armor Wars is likely to release sometime within that window. The film is based comic book event that saw Tony Stark go on a crusade against the heroes and villains he believed to be in possession of his stolen armor designs. But with Robert Downey Jr.’s Iron Man dead in the MCU, this role will go to Don Cheadle’s War Machine instead. Looking at the premise of the story, it makes sense that War Machine’s goal will be to keep Iron Man’s technology out of the wrong hands.

Wakanda Spinoff

For the time being, Marvel doesn’t have any MCU shows labeled as Phase 6 releases. That being said, it does have a handful of TV projects that don’t have dates attached to them yet. One in particular is Ryan Coogler’s Black Panther spinoff. Reportedly centered on Okoye of the Dora Milaje, the untitled series is expected to be set in Wakanda and feature other characters tied to the fictional country. Since MCU producer Nate Moore said that it’s not “as far along as people want it to be,” there’s no expectation for it to release before Phase 5 ends.

Vision Quest

With Marvel having plenty of shows already set for Phase 5, its Vision Quest series, which is reported to be in development, could very well be a part of Phase 6. As the title implies, Vision Quest will continue the story of Paul Bettany’s MCU hero. Considering that the original Vision died in Infinity War, the version of the character in question should be White Vision, who survived the events of WandaVision and left for parts unknown.
