The Jackson Police Department is investigating a shooting that happened late Saturday night off of Ilano Drive.According to JPD, officers received a call about a verbal altercation between two men around 11 p.m. Once they arrived on the scene, officers found a Black male in the yard with multiple gunshot wounds. That victim died from his injuries.Officers said they were able to apprehend the suspect involved near the crime scene and recover the weapon.The name of the victim has not been released at this time.
