We highlight the area of Southern Illinois referred to as “Little Egypt” and the remnants of the Hopewell Mounds in St. Louis and in the valley to the East of the confluence of the Ohio River and Mississippi at Cairo, Illinois. We compare the treatment of the Mounds of the so-called Mississippians to the treatment of the Pyramids in Egypt. Why is France heavily involved up in both; the preservation of Egypt, and the destruction of Ancient American Monuments in the Mississippi Valley.
