Mayor Chokwe Antar Lumumba’s appeal of the Jackson City Council’s decision against a garbage contract with Richard’s Disposal to pick up trash in the city has reached the Mississippi Supreme Court.The appeal claims the trial court erred by allowing the city council to admit several exhibits into evidence as well as denying the motion for additional findings of fact and conclusions of law and to alter order and opinion and final judgment.This comes as the Jackson City Council are in talks to pay the garbage collection company $4.8 million for services they have provided since starting to pick Jackson’s trash up in April.
