Yesterday’s leak was accurate after all – at its iPad event today, Apple unveiled its newest stylus, which it’s calling Apple Pencil Pro.

As we mentioned in the leak post a few hours ago, the name is definitely warranted, seeing as how this stylus has way more features than any that came before it in Apple’s stable. The Apple Pencil Pro has haptic feedback, as well as squeeze and roll gestures.

With the squeeze, a tool palette will be brought up to let you quickly switch tools, line weights, and colors. The roll gesture gives you precise control of the tool you’re using – rotating the barrel changes the orientation of shaped pen and brush tools, as if you were using pen and paper. The roll gesture is enabled by a gyroscope fitted to the stylus.

With the hover gesture, you can visualize the exact orientation of a tool before using the stylus on your iPad, and the haptic feedback provides a gentle confirmation when you squeeze, double-tap, or snap to a Smart Shape.

The Apple Pencil Pro also has support for Find My, so you can always locate it if you happen to misplace it. It pairs, charges, and can be stored on the side of the new iPad Pro through a magnetic interface.

The stylus is available for $129. The Apple Pencil (USB-C) will remain on sale for $79.
