Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is adding the Bifrost Bundle, a set of rainbow weapons chiseled from a magic crystal, that players can get for free.

A new Assassin’s Creed Valhalla update adds a Bifrost Bundle of free mystical rainbow weapons to the game. The latest entry in the historical sci-fi franchise takes players on a massive Viking adventure that features various elements of Norse mythology. Various Assassin’s Creed Valhalla weapons let players fight and pillage in a multitude of ways, and the new Bifrost Bundle is a particularly flashy arsenal.

When Assassin’s Creed Valhalla first launched back in 2020, the game put players in the boots of Viking warrior Eivor as they lead an expansion into the British Isles. Since launch Ubisoft has continued to expand the adventure through free updates and paid DLC expansions. New content packs like Wrath of the Druids, The Siege of Paris and Dawn of Ragnarok gave players new locations to discover and new foes to conquer. Meanwhile, free updates have bolstered the game with new weapons and armor for Eivor to wield in battle. Recently the Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Discovery Tour, which lets players learn about Viking Age history, was also released as a standalone title on consoles and Google Stadia.

The Assassin’s Creed Valhalla 1.5.3 update has added a new free weapon set called the Bifrost Bundle. The set includes the Shimmering Shield and Iridescent Axe, two weapons which were supposedly chiseled from the same crystal used to build Asgard’s rainbow bridge the Bifrost. The gorgeous axe and shield shine with rainbow energy, letting Eivor cut down their foes in flashy style. The update also brings with it several game improvements and bug fixes. The Bifrost Bundle will be available in the Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Animus store for free between June 28 to July 26.

While the Bifrost Bundle is the latest free content to arrive in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, the upcoming Forgotten Saga roguelike DLC will also be entirely free of charge. The new game mode will see Odin the All-Father journey into the dark realm of Niflheim and face off against the Norse goddess of death. The mythological journey will pose a great challenge for the Asgardian king, but players will be able to gain and maintain new upgrades that make Odin stronger over time. The robust new game mode will be released for free, making Assassin’s Creed Valhalla an even more epic Viking experience.

Despite releasing in 2020, Ubisoft continues to support Assassin’s Creed Valhalla with free updates. The Bifrost Bundle will give Eivor a colorful new set of weaponry to use as they face off against the greatest threats that Norway and beyond have to offer. The rainbow arsenal is available for free until July 26, so players should take advantage of the offer and add powerful magic weapons to their arsenal.
