The Briarwood Community Pool is now open to the public after upgrades. The renovations come after Gov. Tate Reeves vetoed a $250,000 appropriation to the pool to pay for improvements in 2022. Through a donation campaign, the Briarwood Pool Leadership Committee raised funds on their own to complete the project, which included replacing the pool liner. The pool is open Monday through Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.On Sunday, the operating hours differ with the pool closing at 6:00 p.m. The city of Jackson will open four pools next Saturday.
