A child was hospitalized after nearly drowning at Lakeshore Park in Brandon. According to Reservoir police Chief Travell Dixon, around 1:40 p.m. Saturday, officers received a call about a missing child. When first responders arrived, they were told the child may be in the water. A team of first responders rescued the child and performed CPR. The child was transported to UMMC, but the condition was not immediately known.
