Firefighter turns lawn into tribute to Fourth of July

An Oklahoma City firefighter is taking his love for the Fourth of July to the next level with how he’s landscaped his yard. Alisha Kesler says her husband’s favorite holiday is Independence Day. So, to celebrate this year, Jared Kesler has put some iconic American images on his lawn and added some decorations and red and blue lights that illuminate the outside of their home in Edmond. Jared Kesler spray-painted the opening of the Constitution’s Preamble of “We the people” with the founding document’s script onto his lawn and carved the iconic bald eagle holding a banner reading “1776” surrounded by stars in the grass. Alisha Kesler told sister station KOCO that he and their daughters projected the bald eagle image onto cardboard and then later cut it out to help him create the lawn image.This is just the latest lawn decoration Jared Kesler has created.
