Fisherman discovers human leg in Rankin County pond

Human remains were discovered in a Rankin County pond. Sunday, around 7:15 p.m. Flowood Police Department received a call from a fisherman about what appeared to be a human leg near Mangum Road. The Rankin County Coroner took possession of the partial remains. Detective Sean Haddakin said investigators are unsure how long the leg had been in the area.
