Ginny & Georgia season 2 has finally been given a release date by Netflix. The series, which premiered on February 24, 2021, is a family dramedy following the lives of Ginny (Antonia Gentry) a mature teenager, and Georgia (Brianne Howey), the single mother of her and her half-brother Austin (Diesel La Torraca). Everything We Know About Ginny & Georgia Season 2

Ginny and Georgia Season 2 Still

It took some time to produce the new season, likely due to the fact that season 1 was completed just a few months before the COVID-19 pandemic shut down productions across the globe. However, Ginny & Georgia season 2 will be returning in full force with another season of 10 hour long episodes. Returning cast members from season 1 include stars Howey, Gentry, and La Torraca, along with Jennifer Robertson as Ellen Baker, Felix Mallard as Marcus Baker, Sara Waisglass as Max Baker, Scott Porter as Mayor Paul Randolph, Raymond Ablack as Joe, Chelsea Clark as Norah, and Katie Douglas as Abby.

The season will follow up on the biggest cliffhanger of season 1 – the fact that Ginny now knows that Georgia killed her stepdad Kenny in order to protect her. Georgia would prefer to let the past stay buried and focus on her impending nuptials with Randolph. Evoking the trials and tribulations of Ginny & Georgia season 1, however, her past will likely come back to haunt her in a major way. While behind-the-scenes photos have revealed that there will be a wedding scene coming up this season, it may not work out the way Georgia plans if her burdensome secrets drive a wedge between her and her fiancé.

So far, any further plot details of the series are being kept tightly under wraps. However, now that Netflix has revealed that the official release date of Ginny & Georgia season 2 is just over a month away, it seems likely that a trailer will drop sooner than later, almost certainly before Christmas. If the new season of Ginny & Georgia can retain the audience it has already grown and build upon it, hopefully, the production of a new season will go much smoother and fans will be able to continue the story at a more regular pace.
