The new island introduced in Cuphead: The Delicious Last Course has a secret passage that can be accessed right away, and there’s a coin at the end.

There are a few secrets to uncover in Cuphead: The Delicious Last Course, including a hidden coin that can be collected as soon as players get to the new island. Collecting coins will allow players to unlock the new weapons and charms available in Porkrind’s Emporium. A few of the new items that are available work well against the bosses on Island IV, so it’s recommended players grab the area’s hidden coin right away.

Along with the hidden coin, players can quickly claim three more as soon as they start their adventure on Island IV. In the town square, there’s an NPC holding a newspaper. This Cuphead character, inspired by classic cartoons, is standing beside the cart that presents a tutorial for Ms. Chalice. Speaking to this NPC will automatically award players three coins, which can be used to purchase some of the new items. However, for more expensive gear, players may need to grab the hidden coin as well.

The hidden coin on Island IV is at the end of a secret path that leads behind the bakery. From the town square, players can go across the stone bridge and to the left where the Porkrind Emporium is. In between the shop and the podiums where the three climbers stand, there’s a narrow path that leads to the hidden coin. Players can go behind the trees and keep following the path until reaching the hidden coin at the end. Claiming four free coins right away will allow players to purchase one or more of the new items available in the shop.

Best New Weapons & Charms To Buy In Cuphead: The Delicious Last Course

After collecting all the free coins on Island IV, players can visit Porkrind’s Emporium to unlock a new weapon or charm. The new weapons available are Converge, Crackshot, and Twist Up. Each of these guns vary in damage dealt and the fire differently, so it can be difficult to decide which one to buy. Additionally, the Heart Ring and Broken Relic charms can also be purchased from the Porkrind Emporium.

Although each weapon has its advantages, the best new weapon is Converge. This gun fires across the entire screen in three lines, so it’s great for clearing out multiple enemies at once. Using the aim button also narrows the distance between the three shots so players can focus their damage and defeat each boss in Cuphead. Alternatively, players can purchase Crackshot or Twist Up, but they’re a bit more challenging to use. Crackshot shoots broken projectiles that cover a good portion of the screen, but it’s a weak weapon. Twist Up does a decent amount of damage, but it’s very difficult to use accurately and it only shoots upward. Converge combines the skills of the other two guns, so it’s the best option for purchasing a new weapon.

The Heart Ring charm is great for players that are good at parrying because it grants an additional health point on the first, third, and sixth successful parry during a fight. However, if players want to use Ms. Chalice, the Astral Cookie charm needs to be equipped, so Heart Ring can’t be used with that particular character. Although the description is vague, the Broken Relic charm can actually be used to unlock a secret boss. In order to solve the tombstone puzzle in Cuphead: The Delicious Last Course, the Broken Relic charm needs to be equipped, and players will need to use clues given by the climbers near the Porkrind Emporium. Solving the puzzle unlocks a secret boss fight, so buying the Broken Relic using the hidden coin is a better purchase than getting the Heart Ring charm.
