Players must solve a crane puzzle found in The Abandoned Village of Vanaheim in God of War: Ragnarök to unlock the Helios Flare Runic Attack.

One of the best Light Runic Attacks used by the Blades of Chaos in God of War: Ragnarok is the Helios Flare. This ability enables Kratos to create a small fireball between his blades and hurl it at one or more enemies. The impact blast from the Helios Flare will knock back weaker mobs and apply tier-two Burn to enemy targets. This Light Runic Attack is perfect for performing a ranged stun for weaker foes or applying DoT to stronger enemies from a safe distance. Such an ability would be handy for battling formidable opponents with punishing melee moves like the Frost Phantom.

To get the Helios Flare Light Runic Attack in God of War: Ragnarok, players will need to search for a Legendary Chest within The Abandoned Village of Vanaheim. For reference, this landmark is located north of the Eastern Barri Woods and slightly southeast of the Northern Wilds. Kratos and Atreus will pass through The Abandoned Village during the sixth main quest, “The Reckoning,” during which players must face challenging bosses, including Fiske and Nidhogg. The chest containing the Helios Flare can be found at a crane puzzle not too far from the location’s Runic Chest.
