How to Get Umbreon in Pokémon Legends: Arceus
There are multiple ways to get Umbreon in Pokémon Arecus, but players evolving Eevee into Umbreon might end up with Sylveon instead.
Pokémon Legends: Arceus contains many Pokémon that evolve in peculiar ways, which is why players can get Umbreon easily. All eight Eevee evolutions can be acquired in Legends: Arceus, contrary to Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl which cut out Sylveon from the Pokédex. Umbreon has always been one of Eevee’s best evolution options, as its bulky Defense and Special Defense stats allow it to often outlast opponents. Additionally, as a Dark-type Pokémon, Umbreon has one immunity and only a couple of weaknesses, such as Fighting-, Bug-, and Fairy-type moves.
One of the easiest ways to get Umbreon in Pokémon Legends: Arceus is by catching an Eevee in the Obsidian Fieldlands early and increasing its friendship. Once Eevee’s friendship is high enough, players will be able to evolve Eevee into Umbreon, but only at night. If Eevee is selected to evolve during the day with its friendship high, it will evolve into Espeon. Additionally, Eevee cannot know a Fairy-type move once its friendship is high enough to evolve. Regardless of the time of day, Eevee will always evolve into Sylveon if it knows a Fairy-type move and has a high friendship stat with its trainer, so to get Eevee to evolve into Umbreon make sure to avoid those.
Get Umbreon in Pokémon Arceus by Catching It
For the first time in a Pokémon game since Sun, Moon, Ultra Sun, and Ultra Moon, players can find and catch Umbreon on its own in Pokémon Legends: Arceus. With a bit of luck, they may even be able to catch an Alpha Umbreon in Pokémon Legends: Arceus, though the chances of finding one are extremely rare. Umbreon can only be found in the Space-Time Distortion zones across the Crimson Mirelands in Pokémon Legends: Arceus, but the good news is that it can be found long before players beat the game.

Getting Umbreon in Arceus’ Space-Time Distortion zone is fairly random, but it is possible. The Crimson Mirelands Space-Time Distortion zones are home to a myriad of rare Pokémon, including Eevee, Flareon, Porygon, Porygon2, Porygon-Z, and even the Cyndaquil evolution line after players beat and complete Arceus’ story. Of course, it’ll be easier to catch multiple Eevee in the Crimson Mirelands and evolve Eevee into Umbreon than it will be to catch the perfect Umbreon. However, getting Umbreon is still easy for all players in Pokémon Legends: Arceus.
