Infinix has announced the GT BOOK, the company’s first gaming notebook, for the Indian market and we have it with us today.

Infinix GT BOOK in for review

The GT BOOK is a mid-range gaming notebook from the brand featuring Intel 12th-gen and 13th-gen CPUs and Nvidia 30-series and 40-series graphics. You get a choice of the Intel Core i5-12450H, the Core i5-13420H, and the Core i9-13900H. On the GPU side, you get the Nvidia GeForce RTX 3050, RTX 4050, and RTX 4060.

The model we have here is the base variant with the 12450H and the RTX 3050. It features 16GB of 5200MHz LPDDR5X memory and 512GB of PCIe Gen4 M.2 SSD storage. While the memory is fixed, the storage can be upgraded with a larger SSD.

The GT BOOK has a fairly typical gamer aesthetic that Infinix calls Cyber Mecha design. It has a gunmetal color and matte finish with the top and bottom panels being made out of aluminum and the keyboard deck being plastic. The exterior has etched patterns, orange grilles, and iridescent highlights. The back also features an RGB LED light bar and the entire keyboard also features four-zone RGB lighting. The lighting can be controlled through Infinix’ Control Center app.

The GT BOOK has a 16-inch, 1920×1200 resolution IPS LCD panel. It supports up to 120Hz refresh rates with VRR and Infinix claims 100% sRGB coverage. The display has a matte finish and relatively thin bezels. It’s also 16:10, which is a rarity these days, especially in the gaming laptop segment. On top of the display is a 2MP webcam.

The GT BOOK has a 70Wh battery. The device ships with a 210W charger although the company makes no claims of battery life or charging times.

While the packaging is barebones and only includes the aforementioned charger, Infinix has a special accessory package that will be bundled for a limited time. This includes a wired gaming mouse with RGB lighting, a gaming headset with RGB lighting, and a gaming desk mat with, you guessed it, RGB lighting. This package will be available with all three variants for an unspecified duration after launch.
