Hazel Young of Altoona turned 112 years old on Sunday. She was surrounded by family and friends to ring in her big day.And of course, plenty of cake was in order to celebrate.Young and her family credit their faith for her to be able to witness this many birthdays.”Even though you have reached the age of 112, you are still thankful that God loves you and cares for you and helps you,” said Larry Davis, Hazel’s nephew said.”And keeps me in good health,” Hazel completed.Sister station KCCI asked Hazel what historic event she remembers the most vividly.
