The Jackson Fire Department is on the scene of a house fire on Mason Boulevard between Terry Road and Interstate 55 on Frontage Road. When 16 WAPT pulled up to the scene, the house was completely enflamed and heavy smoke was enveloped in the air. Firefighters worked to put out the fire quickly and prevent any flames from spreading to nearby trees. Neighbors said the blaze woke them up. According to one neighbor, the house was vacant, but there was someone living in a trailer on the property. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
