Jackson’s ongoing garbage collection dispute headed back to court Friday.The hearing in Hinds County Chancery Court is in response to a lawsuit the Jackson City Council filed against Mayor Chokwe Antar Lumumba over the city’s garbage pickup contract. The city council filed the lawsuit after the mayor issued an emergency order giving a garbage collection contract to Richard’s Disposal.Council members voted against giving the New Orleans-based company the contract multiple times.
