Kathryn Dennis’ time on Southern Charm has been filled with multiple legal issues. The reality star first raised eyebrows when she, at 21 years old, chose to date disgraced politician Thomas Ravenel who is almost 30 years her senior. Since then, their tumultuous relationship has led to multiple issues and controversies.
Although she hasn’t been a prominent part of Southern Charm like she used to be, Kathryn is still regularly in the news cycle. Her fans were shocked to learn just recently that Kathryn had been served an eviction notice at her East Bay apartment. With just a few weeks to Christmas, the Southern Charm star might find herself homeless if she doesn’t come up with her rent on time. While many fans might be surprised by the news, this wouldn’t be Kathryn’s first brush with the law as the Southern Charm star has, over the years, become famous for her legal woes.
Kathryn Dennis’ Custody Battle With Thomas Ravenel
After meeting and starting a romantic relationship, Kathryn and Thomas became parents to two children: their daughter Kensie and son Saint. Sadly, their relationship crumbled after multiple breakups and make-ups, leading to a custody battle over their two kids. Kathryn initially lost her child custody to Thomas after she tested positive for marijuana in 2016. However, after Thomas was arrested for assault and battery in 2018, Kathryn obtained joint custody of the kids. However, Thomas has since regained full custody for unknown reasons. According to The U.S. Sun, the court documents have also been sealed per Kathryn’s request, and her lawyers, Susan Rawls Strom and Pete Currence, no longer represent her.
Kathryn Dennis’ Multiple Eviction Issues
Before Kathryn’s recent eviction notice at her East Bay apartment, the reality star first ran into a conflict with her residency agreement earlier this year. Kathryn was hit with a “Rule To Vacate” notice on March 16 by Mt Pleasant Investments LLC, which owns the complex she lived in. Even though they settled, another was filed on May 17. Since the custody battle between Kathryn and Thomas started in 2016, the mother of two has reportedly spent vast sums of money on legal fees. However, her legal drama didn’t stop Kathryn from living an expensive lifestyle, which included renting an apartment in Charleston with her now ex-boyfriend Chleb Ravenell in 2021.
Nonetheless, the issue was resolved after Kathryn reportedly moved out of the apartment. Still, despite Kathryn’s many legal problems, fans of the Southern Charm star are rooting for her. Hopefully, Kathryn will return to the hilarious, fun-loving person fans grew to love on the Bravo series.
