Love Is Blind: Brazil season 4 dropped on June 19, and a couple of people got engaged. The show is a spin-off of the original Love Is Blind and received an incredible reception globally from the start. Just like its predecessor, the social experiment follows a group of singles searching for potential romantic partners. The Brazilian edition has been one of the most successful international installments of the franchise. Similar global adaptations include Love Is Blind: Sweden and Japan, with the potential release of UK and Dubai editions.

Although the format is the same, there is a different format than the current Love Is Blind: Brazil. Dubbed Love Is Blind: Brazil-A Fresh Start, the cast consists of people looking for love for the first time. Most are divorcees, separated, or rebounding after long-term relationships. The first batch of Love Is Blind: Brazil season 4 episodes walked viewers through the entire experience in the pods, just before couples met face to face. Out of the fifteen bachelors and bachelorettes that got into this experiment, five couples left the pods with their potential soulmates.

Leonardo Plácido is a 34-year-old lawyer who says he is seeking pure happiness. He confessed that he aspires to be “happily married” since he deserves it. The 34-year-old has an oozing sense of confidence that could either attract or scare women away. On the other hand, Vanessa Kurashiki, who had been previously engaged to another man but never got to the altar, connected with Leonardo.

Vanessa proved to be a symbol of beauty and brains from the moment she graced screens. Sadly, Vanessa confessed that her past romances had left her high and dry, which prompted the Love Is Blind: Brazil reality star to step into the social experiment. Besides connecting with Leonardo, Vanessa also bonded with Rodrigo Knoeller. Confused about who her perfect choice would be, Vanessa expressed her worries to Rodrigo.

“I’m just mixed up right now. Because when I’m talking with you, I can clearly picture a future together, in my imagination. But when I’m talking to him, (Leonardo), I picture a completely different picture. And I like both futures.”

However, the indecisiveness didn’t persist for too long. After Leonardo gave the 34-year-old lawyer a tarot reading, her vision became clearer, thus choosing him over Rodrigo. After pairing up with Leonardo, the Love Is Blind: Brazil duo shared many things, including Leonardo’s fear of heights and Vanessa’s childhood.

The Blended Family

Evandro Pinto, 35, is an internet salesperson who has been divorced for five years and is ready to give marriage another chance. Although he currently lives alone, Evandro has two daughters and hopes to meet a family-oriented person. Therefore, when he connected with Ariela Carasso, 34, it was a match made in heaven. Like Evandro, Ariela is a mom to a 9-year-old daughter. Still, she’s ready to get married and have more kids. Their engagement will be a true test which shows how the Love Is Blind: Brazil couple will create a blended family, and how their kids will interact.

The Perfect Mistake

Patrick Ribiero joined Love Is Blind: Brazil season 4 after his previous girlfriend dumped him. Patrick stated that he wasn’t a fan of one-night stands, which motivated him to find a long-term partner. The 32-year-old traffic manager connected with two women in the pods, Renata Giaffredo and Marilia Pinheiro. During Love Is Blind: Brazil season 4, episode 2, Patrick discovers Renata and Marilia are two different people.

Both women had similar voices and came from the same neighborhood as he did, which might have caused the mix-up. Patrick confessed his undying love to the wrong woman and single-handedly created the first Love Is Blind: Brazil love triangle. The traffic manager apologized to the two women, insisting it was an honest mistake.

“I made the biggest mistake, like, ever. I got two girls mixed, like, ever. I got two girls mixed up and promised one of them I wanted to commit to her but I thought she was the other one. I thought they were the same person. I didn’t know there were two of them.”

Marilia initially thought Patrick was making an excuse but later realized it was a genuine mistake. Despite their chaotic start, their romance has proven to be worth it. The two lovebirds got pretty close while in their pods, talking about kids and finances and even exchanging gifts before he proposed to her. Patrick stated that he was sure about marrying Marilla, who was excited about walking on that journey with Patrick.

Perfect For Each Other In Every Single Way

Ingrid Santa Rita, a 33-year-old mom of two, decided to risk it all by joining Love Is Blind: Brazil season 4. Ingrid stated that her previous relationship was toxic and decided to go to the pods instead of getting on dating apps. Therefore, she was looking for the perfect man for herself, and the right family man for her two children. Ingrid also started in the Love Is Blind: Brazil trailer that although she had a child at 19, she had never been married nor worn a wedding gown.

In the pods, the architect met Leandro Marçal, 32, a former soccer player working as a personal trainer. Leandro was fresh out of a divorce and was in a different phase of his life. The ex-footballer said that he was freshly divorced but added that he was “totally over it.” The two took time to get to know each other but eventually started warming up to each other, thus becoming inseparable. Ingrid and Leandro connected over their shared values, and got engaged. Their love deepened after meeting each other in person for the first time.

Appearance Is Key

Renata is a 33-year-old lawyer who was in a common law union before being part of Love Is Blind: Brazil. Although she didn’t work out with her previous partner, Renata was optimistic that the experiment would result in something beautiful. Nonetheless, Renata was fixated on looks. She hoped to meet a good-looking, elegant guy who would sweep her off her feet, but she disapproved of one of the suitors who stated he loved casual outfits.

“I like elegant guys, and I’m not really into guy who wear like pullovers or like sweatpants or something.”

It sure did. The strong-willed lawyer first clashed with Marilia over Patrick’s attention in the pods. She soon found her match in Alexandre Thomaz, a 34-year-old event production company owner. Renata took a leap of faith by proposing to Alexandre, who didn’t hesitate to accept. This was a connection none of the Love Is Blind: Brazil viewers saw coming. Earlier, Alexandre had criticized Renata for being too obsessed with looks.

In Love Is Blind: Brazil episode 2, Alexandre wanted to propose to Renata. However, the 33-year-old expressed she had never dated someone “chubby” and wouldn’t be interested in pursuing a relationship with him if Alexandre didn’t look like she had pictured. Alexandre accused the Love Is Blind: Brazil star of being “too cocky” and being “shallow.”
