The two Spider-Men, Peter Parker and Miles Morales, are set to fight each other in the upcoming issue of The Spectacular Spider-Men. Peter Parker, the original Spider-Man, has been swinging back into a brand-new series alongside his pupil and eventual successor, Miles Morales. But a mysterious threat will force the two heroes to battle and prove who is the strongest Spider-Man.

TheSpectacular Spider-Men #5 by Greg Weisman and Humberto Ramos features this shocking and intense cover art of Spider-Man vs. Spider-Man. The cover has both Spider-Men locked in combat and trying to tear each other apart. Miles has his electric Venom hands ready to strike with Peter grabbing Miles by his costume.

Peter Parker and Miles Morales are two sides of the same Spider-Man coin when it comes to their heroics. But they have several differences in their origins and their range of abilities. As the first-ever Spider-Man, Peter Parker has all the enhanced speed, strength, and agility of a superhuman with a powerful Spider-Sense and other adhesive abilities. Miles Morales took on the role of Spider-Man after the death of Peter Parker in the Ultimate Spider-Man comic series. The 13-year-old Miles became a different version of Spider-Man, complete with all of Peter’s abilities but with a camouflage ability and Venom electricity.

As Miles grew up and became an integral part of the Spider-Verse, many heroes saw this Spider-Man as a worthy successor to Peter Parker. However, the Ultimate Universe was destroyed in 2015’s Secret Wars event, and Miles was relocated to Earth-616, where he and Peter share the Spider-Man name and protect all of New York together. Luckily, Peter and Miles have a great brotherly bond that stems from their shared abilities and desire to learn from each other. Miles is seemingly a prodigy at being Spider-Man, becoming a hero at a much younger age, but Peter has more than experience to win this upcoming fight.

The new Spectacular Spider-Men series has just started and already Peter and Miles are at each other’s throats. With this brand new series, both Spider-Men have been working like a well-oiled machine while trying to keep normal lives with their families and significant others. However, an old foe known as the Jackal has come to mess with the two Spider-Men using plenty of mind games and other tricks. So far, the trickster villain has remained in the shadows and has seemingly found a way to pit the two heroes against each other. Though it seems that a huge fight between Peter Parker and Miles Morales is unavoidable, the Spider-Men will find a way to make amends and pursue the real threat.
