Being a member of the 2022 CoBuilders startup accelerator cohort is already bearing fruit for four Mississippi Startup companies. Earlier this month, the Mississippi Seed Fund awarded $10,000 Proof of Concept awards to iResonate, GS Research, Humo and Prospective Vision Solutions. The companies can use the seed fund award to test and develop their product, work on their marketing and explore customer interactions—all items they’re working on during the CoBuilders accelerator.

iResonate is a digital payment facilitation startup that has developed the ClickTip® donate button for content creators. The goal is to allow a content creator’s viewers to “efficiently make an impulse donation to the author of the content.” CEO Zeke Fairbank says a complete audit trail is maintained, and web hosts, content providers and donors can see sources of revenue and funds donated on an individualized dashboard.

GS Research developed the WonderWindow, a multi-pane acrylic window with a 300-400% increase in energy efficiency compared to conventional windows. WonderWindows even make the wall around the window more by safely eliminating excess framing, making for affordable new Net Zero Energy buildings and homes.

CEO Charles Freeman leads that team at Humo, which is developing a technology wearable focused on fitness training that limits performance-related injuries. “The combination of hardware and software product offerings tracks human motion and relays kinematic information to an AR application platform for training and recovery.” The startup launched from a project at Mississippi State University.

Prospective Vision Solutions is a certified minority and women-owned small business working to create a total money management program called the Financial Gameplan package. Owner and Operations Manager Angenett Curry has shaped the package to include the creation of a vision board, setting up a budget, teaching about savings and investment, repairing credit and student-loan restructuring.

Curry is also a published author, and PVS’s services include webinars, seminars and workshops. PVS’s vision is “to help its clients understand the importance of managing their money, maintaining good credit and becoming viable citizens in their community.”

All startups that successfully complete the CoBuilders statewide accelerator program also earn non-dilutive capital grants of over $8,000. Participants are working toward Pitch Day, July 28, 2022, where they will pitch their company to a live audience of investors, mentors and the general public at the Fertile Ground Beer Co. in Jackson, and an opportunity to raise more investment capital. You can register to attend Pitch Day here and sponsorships are also available.
