The Mississippi State Bulldogs held on for 24-22 win over Ole Miss in the Egg Bowl Thanksgiving night.The Rebels recovered a fumble from Will Rogers to start their a 99 yard drive in the final minutes. Ole Miss scored quarterback Jaxson Dart found an open Dayton Wade for a late touchdown that made it a two point game to cap the long drive.But Dart was off target on a shuffle pass to Jonathan Mingo that would’ve tied the game with 1:25 left.MSU held the top rushing attack in the SEC to 74 yards and held the Rebels to 6 points in the second half.Bulldogs head coach Mike Leach gets his first victory in the Egg Bowl as MSU improves to 8-4. The Rebels drop to 8-4.Bowl game invites await both teams as their regular season comes to an end.
