More than 22,000 absentee ballots received as Mississippi’s general election approaches
Last day to vote absentee in-person is Saturday

More than 22,000 absentee ballots have been received in Mississippi ahead of the Nov. 8 general election.Secretary of State Michael Watson said the numbers were as of Sunday. At the same point during the 2020 general election, 142,491 absentee ballots had been received. The 2020 election included the presidential, Senate and congressional races.All of the Mississippi seats in the U.S. House are on the upcoming ballot, along with non-partisan judicial races. The last day to vote in-person absentee is Saturday. All mail-in absentee ballots must be postmarked by Nov. 8 and received by county circuit clerk offices within five business days of Nov. 8 in order to count.
