A 10-month-old New Mexico girl who had been missing following the death of her mother and another woman was found alive, the FBI announced Monday morning.“10 month old Eleia Maria Torres has been found alive and the suspect is in custody,” the FBI Albuquerque field office announced in a brief news release.The bureau did not provide further details on the condition of the child, and the suspect was not immediately named.This is a breaking news update. Clovis police believe 10-month-old Eleia Maria Torres was abducted by a suspect involved in a double homicide at Ned Houk Park. Eleia is 28 inches tall and weighs 23 pounds. She has brown hair and brown eyes.Police have not identified the suspect, but it has been reported the suspect was possibly in a maroon Honda car.”It was thought that a maroon car could’ve been involved because of a single piece of debris was found within the scene that was maroon in color and was stamped with Honda on the back side. With a small piece of debris, we cannot be certain if it was a part of the incident,” said Deputy Chief Trevor Thron.According to Clovis police, officers began searching for the 10-month-old after they responded to Ned Houk Park after someone called 911 to report two people who were found dead. Clovis police said when officers arrived, they found 23-year-old Samantha Cisneros and 23-year-old Taryn Allen had been shot and killed near a minivan. Officers also found a young female child on the ground with a head injury. Police officers began life-saving measures for that child. She was transported to Plains Regional Medical Center and then transferred to Lubbock, Texas. Clovis police say that during the investigation, officers found an infant car seat, a stroller, and a small baby bottle left at the scene. Officers began searching the area for the infant after they became concerned there was an infant child with the victims, prompting the Amber Alert. Law enforcement searched the area of the park on Saturday for the 10-month-old. Most officers have cleared the park as of Saturday evening.”I promise the FBI will be with Clovis until we find Eleia, and we find the individual or individuals responsible for these horrific acts,” said Special Agent Raul Bujanda.
