Netflix has revealed a new trailer for Stranger Things’ fourth season, the second volume of which streams from July 1. The trailer features a remix of Kate Bush’s “Running Up That Hill,” spliced with Kyle Dixon and Michael Stein’s theme tune for the show. “Running Up That Hill,” of course, has had an international resurgence thanks to its prominent use in the first half of the series, and Bush is really, truly psyched about it. Really.
“The track is being responded to in so many positive ways,” she said in one of her exuberant statements. “I’ve never experienced anything quite like this before! I just want to say a really big thank you to everyone in the U.S. who has supported the song. It’s the first time I’ve had a top ten single over there and now it’s in the top 5! Thank you so much again to the Duffer Brothers – because of their latest, extraordinary series of Stranger Things, the track is being discovered by a whole new audience.”
The 1985 single, from Hounds of Love, also went to No. 1 in several other countries, including the United Kingdom. Pitchfork has emailed Netflix for more details on the remix.
