Everything Everywhere All at Once (Son Lux), Babylon (Justin Hurwitz), Banshees of Inisherin (Carter Burwell), All Quiet on the Western Front (Volker Bertelmann), and The Fabelmans (John Williams) have all been nominated for the 2023 Academy Award for Best Original Score.  The winner will be announced during the annual ceremony in Los Angeles on March 12.

In December, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences revealed the shortlists for 10 categories, including Best Original Song and Best Documentary Feature Film. Don’t Worry Darling, Nope, and Avatar: The Way of Water made the shortlist, but did not get into the final batch of Oscar nominees.

Everything Everywhere All at Once picked up 11 nominations in all, with “This Is a Life” from the soundtrack nominated for Best Original Song. The film is also up for Best Picture alongside Elvis, The Banshees of Inisherin, and more.
