Skies should be partly to mostly cloudy today with storms in the delta and north Mississippi in the afternoon. There could be a couple of heavy downpours and a few storms late night. Skies will turn mainly clear by the afternoon and highs will heat up to the mid to low 90s. Real feel values for many areas will reach the upper 90s. Friday through Sunday turns hot with highs in the mid to low 90s and feels like temperatures in the low 100s. Rain will stay at a minimum but gusts could pick up to 25 mph Sunday. By Monday, a cold front will move through the state, bringing a chance for rain and storms. The timeline is very inconsistent, so don’t cancel any outdoor plans just yet. Temperatures will fall to the 60s in the morning behind the front with highs Tuesday and Wednesday reaching highs in the mid to upper 80s.
