A Rankin County man has been sentenced to 20 years in prison after pleading guilty to sexual battery of a child.Dearron Rashad McMiller, 30, will have to serve every day of the sentence and register as a sex offender for the rest of his life, according to Bubba Bramlett, district attorney for Rankin and Madison counties.McMiller was arrested after the child’s mother reported in February that he had been sexually abusing her child at his home in Florence, according to a release from Bramlett. The girl told investigators that the abuse went on over a two-year period.
