The Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 is coming, along with the Mix Flip, the company’s first flip-style foldable. The Mix Fold 4’s specs leaked back in March, and the Mix Flip has already been certified in China with support for satellite connectivity.
Today some new details for both devices have been outed, coming from the prolific leaker calling himself Digital Chat Station on Weibo. According to him, the Mix Fold 4 will be the new record holder for thinnest foldable smartphone, taking the crown from the Honor Magic V2. Both Xiaomi foldables will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, and will have the same 50 MP 1/1.55″ main camera with OIS.

They’ll also both sport a 60 MP Omnivision OV60A 2x telephoto with 1/2.8″ size, and a 12 MP ultrawide. The Mix Flip stops here, but the Mix Fold 4 adds a fourth camera: a 10 MP periscope telephoto with 5x zoom. The Mix Fold 4 will also have an IP rating for the first time in the series, as well as support for wireless charging.
The Mix Fold 4 and Mix Flip are going to be released in the third quarter of this year according to the same source, so at some point between July and September. Depending on when exactly in the quarter they come out, the timing could be quite unfortunate, seeing as how the Xiaomi 15 will debut the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 SoC in mid-October.
Unfortunately both the Mix Fold 4 and the Mix Flip are likely to stay confined to China and never officially launch internationally.
