The first two Transformers: Rise of the Beasts toys from Hasbro include Battletrap and Bumblebee, Screen Rant can exclusively reveal! The studio series action figures for Battletrap and Bumblebee will be available for pre-order later today for $34.99 and $24.99, respectively, and we have the very first official images below.
Bumblebee, of course, is up there with Optimus Prime (voiced by Peter Cullen again in Rise of the Beasts) as iconic franchise stalwarts and heroic Autobots, and returns from his own spinoff movie that was helmed by Travis Knight. Transformers: Rise of the Beasts serves as yet another prequel to the Michael Bay franchise allowing director Steven Caple Jr. to play with G1 nostalgia and designs and giving him the freedom of a fresh start.
Battletrap (voiced by David Sobolov) on the other hand is a new character for the live-action Transformers movie franchise and represents the introduction of a new faction, the Terrorcons, who don’t share allegiance to either the Autobots or Decepticons. Rise of the Beasts – as gleaned from the title which references the Beast Wars series – also introduces the Maximals or Predacons.
