The Flowood Police Department arrested a Sanderson Farms employee after attacking a coworker with a knife.Police received the call around 5 a.m. Saturday. Lawrence Gibson of Brandon was arrested and charged with aggravated assault.According to Flowood police, Gibson and the other employee got into a knifing altercation, leaving the unidentified employee with life-threatening injuries. Prior to police’s arrival, the Sanderson Farms management team and security staff separated the two employees and were able to surrender Gibson into police custody.Gibson is being held in the Rankin County Jail under a $1 million bond.
