Everyone stops at this first Golden Gate Bridge viewpoint known as 📍 Battery Spencer, which is an absolute must for obvious reasons (just be prepared for crazy crowds).

But, sitting less than 15 yards from the parking for Battery Spencer, is the entrance to reach this hidden beach area, directly below the bridge, 📍Battery Kirby & Kirby Cove!
The kicker…. How To Get There 👇
🚫 No cars allowed, so you will have to either walk or bike down the 1.5 mile dirt road.
♿️ If you have a disability, contact the Marin Headlands Rangers at (415)-331-1540 to inquire about accessibility.
⛰️ Keep in mind, you are on the side of a mountain & there is only one way in… down a pretty steep winding road, ergo you must walk/bike that same steep hill to get back out
🌿 BEWARE the Poison Oak just off the main path areas! Make sure you do a Google search to remind yourself of what it looks like because it tends to blend in with the other bushes ☠️
🏕 They offer camping sites (tent only, no car or RV), but only during a certain time of year & reservations fill up QUICK due to the limited number of sites & seasonal openings. Search “Kirby Cove Campground” to reserve your spot
