Street Dance will kick off the Hancock County Independence Day Celebration | Daily Democrat

The Hancock County Independence Day Celebration will be kicked off with a Street Dance on July 2 featuring Fast & Easy and South 35. At 7 p.m. Fast & Easy will take the stage located on the 400 block of Main Street in Carthage. South 35 will take the stage at 8:30 p.m.

On July 4 the celebration will continue around the historic square in Carthage and culminate with the fireworks display that evening near Illini West High School.

7 a.m.–Breakfast by Sly Fox

8:30 a.m.–Community Church Service (Chamber Stage)

9 a.m.–Music by Cassie Lynn Jones (Chamber Stage)

10 a.m.–”Red, White & Blue in 2022” PARADE

11 a.m.–Games, Activities, Food, Crafts and Live Music

12 p.m.–Presentation of Colors by VFW

Entertainment on Chamber Stage:

12:05 p.m.–Hancock County Community Choir

12:30 p.m.–Nauvoo Pageant Bagpipe Band

1 p.m.–Celebration School of Dance

1:30 p.m.–Vocalists: Olivia Schaller, Danny Lasswell, and Kristin Wilhite

2 p.m.–Mind & Sole Dance Company

2:30 p.m.–Carthage Fire Department Water Fight

DUSK 9:30 p.m.–Fireworks Display near IWHS (Parking and restrooms available at Illini West High School)
