On May 5, a teen died from a car accident involving a stolen vehicle, according to Jackson Police Department. This morning around 11 a.m. Jackson Police said they responded to the car accident on Benwood Drive.Three teens were lying on the ground outside of a stolen brown Kia SUV. The SUV was identified as a vehicle stolen from a woman’s home on Dorgan Street around 8 a.m. this morning. All three juveniles sustained injuries from the accident. Two of the teens were taken to UMMC hospital while the other died at the scene. This is an ongoing investigation.
