Niles Fitch’s That ’90s Show Role Is Even Better After This Is Us

Fitch Is Known For Playing Characters From The 1990s

Niles Fitch and Milo Ventimiglia in This Is Us

Niles Fitch is the newest love interest in That ’90s Show. He plays Cole Carson, Gwen’s boyfriend. He is first introduced as an Abercrombie & Fitch employee who taunts the manager of Hot Topic, where Gwen works. While the relationship between the preppy Cole and rebellious Gwen starts off casual, they soon become boyfriend and girlfriend, much to Leia’s excitement. Fitch’s role as Cole Carson is similar to his role as a young Randall Pearson in This Is Us. Through Fitch’s role as Randall, the actor has become known for playing characters set in the mid-to-late-’90s.

“Fitch appeared as Randall throughout the show’s flashbacks to the ’90s. His role in the series set him up to become a memorable actor that plays characters from other decades.”

Fitch plays a teenage Randall Pearson throughout several seasons of This Is Us. The show ran for six years, between 2016 and 2022. While This Is Us is set in the present day, it includes flashbacks to different decades as well. Fitch appeared as Randall throughout the show’s flashbacks to the ’90s. His role in the series set him up to become a memorable actor who plays characters from other decades. His role as the lovable boyfriend, Cole Carson, in That ’90s Show continues this trend.

How That ’90s Show Sets Up The Return Of Niles Fitch’s Cole Carson In Part 3

Cole’s Romance With Gwen Practically Confirms Fitch’s Return

The end of part two revealed Cole would be leaving for college sooner than he expected. At first, Gwen doesn’t allow herself to be sad and says goodbye to Cole on the spot, but after some help from her friends, Gwen tells Cole her true feelings and the two of them agree to have a good time together before he has to leave. While the That ’90s Show part 2 ending left things uncertain about when Cole would come back, his relationship with Gwen confirms his eventual return.

Part three of That ’90s Show could show Cole right before he leaves. It could also show Gwen traveling to visit Cole. The most likely thing, however, is that Cole could be mentioned periodically through letters and phone calls between him and Gwen before he revisits Point Place the following summer, in season three. That ’90s Show is known for using drama between couples as a plot point like long-distance relationships or the Nate and Nikki fight this season, but whatever is planned for part three, Fitch is sure to make an appearance.
