Grass Carp are a major threat to the ecological and socio-economic balance of the Great Lakes Basin. These voracious feeders would have serious negative consequences to biodiversity, angling, wetlands, and so much more if they were to establish. This webinar will focus on the biology of Grass Carp, their impacts, and how you can help prevent their establishment in the Canadian waters of the Great Lakes.

Liana Hryniewicz is the Program Development Intern with the ISC where she works with the team to produce a suite of outcomes that strive to address key gaps in invasive species prevention, control, and management. Her primary roll is supporting work in aquatic invasive species however, she also provides support in other initiatives including impact analyses, species and pathway analyses, community science initiatives, risk and impact assessments, and more. Liana has an undergraduate degree in Biology from Algoma University.
