One incredible Star Wars cosplay truly looks like an image from The Mandalorian. The Mandalorian has become one of Star Wars’ best TV shows, and The Mandalorian cast and characters are some of the most beloved in the franchise. Not only did the show introduce Star Wars audiences to the New Republic era, the period of relative peace following the fall of the Empire, but it also included the debut of fan-favorite characters Din Djarin and Grogu, now considered two of Star Wars’ best duos throughout the Star Wars timeline.

One cosplayer, remarkably, has perfectly captured both Din Djarin’s iconic Mandalorian armor and Grogu, the beloved Force-sensitive child of The Mandalorian. The Mandalorian Changed Star Wars TV Shows Forever

The Mandalorian was the first of the Star Wars Disney+ live-action TV shows, and it was one of Star Wars’ first shows that really moved beyond the Skywalker Saga. Although Star Wars Rebels preceded The Mandalorian and didn’t focus on the Skywalkers, even in that show, Darth Vader was present and loomed large. In The Mandalorian, the focus is very firmly on Din Djarin, the Mandalorian bounty hunter. Even Grogu, despite being Force-sensitive, feels quite separate from his Jedi Order origins. In light of that, The Mandalorian reinforced that Star Wars could be successful even beyond the Skywalker family tree.

The Mandalorian was therefore highly experimental when it came out, representing a new era of Star Wars. Luckily, the show was met with great acclaim, which may have contributed to a number of live-action Star Wars shows receiving the green light. Since The Mandalorian, The Book of Boba Fett, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Ahsoka, and Andor have all been released, with the upcoming Ahsoka season 2 and Star Wars: The Acolyte both currently underway. The Mandalorian is set after the Empire’s fall and before the First Order’s emergence in the ever-growing Star Wars universe. The series follows the travails of a lone gunfighter named Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) in the outer reaches of the galaxy, far from the authority of the New Republic. Acting as the first live-action Star Wars series, The Mandalorian has become incredibly popular on Disney+, partly due to Mando’s relationship with Grogu, which the internet dubbed “Baby Yoda” upon his introduction in season 1.
