Three men from Sacramento were arrested after police said they dressed up as construction workers and attempted to steal materials from a construction site.The attempted burglary happened on Saturday around 6 a.m. at a site near Nisenen Valley Drive, the Lincoln Police Department said on social media.A witness saw three men wearing construction vests load their two trucks with plywood, authorities said. “74 sheets of plywood in all, for a total value of $2,960 were recovered by officers and returned to the construction builder that they were stolen from,” Lincoln police said. Officers found both trucks and initiated a traffic stop on one of the trucks near Twelve Bridges Drive and Sierra College. The other suspect drove off before another officer initiated a traffic stop near Highway 193 and Sierra College Boulevard. Omar Alejo, 38, Oscar Guillen, 35, and Jose Loya-Carlon, 35, were taken into custody and booked into the South Placer Jail, authorities said. The three men face grand theft and conspiracy to commit felony charges. Alejo also faces additional charges for giving false identification to an officer, possessing a controlled substance and for his outstanding felony warrant out of Sacramento County.Loya-Carlon faces additional charges of possessing a controlled substance.
