VIDEO OF PLACER COUNTY MOBILE HOME ENGULFED IN FLAMES AFTER FIRE. CREWS BELIEVE IT WAS STRUCK BY LIGHTNING. IT WAS LIKE A SONIC BOOM. I MEAN, YOU COULD FEEL IT. IT WAS LIKE BOOM, LIKE THAT. JUST REALLY, REALLY QUICK. AND IT WAS VERY FRIGHTENING. THIS HAPPENED TONIGHT IN NEW CASTLE IN THE CASTLE CITY MOBILE HOME PARK. THANKS FOR JOINING US AT TEN. I’M BRITTANY HOPE KCRA 3’S. CATALINA ESTRADA IS LIVE AT THAT SCENE. CATALINA, WHAT’S HAPPENING THERE NOW AT THIS POINT? YEAH. BRITNEY. SO YOU GUYS CAN PROBABLY ALREADY SEE THE DAMAGE RIGHT BEHIND ME. BUT LET ME GIVE YOU A CLOSER LOOK. RIGHT HERE YOU CAN SEE ALL THE FURNITURE OF THIS HOME COMPLETELY BURNED HER COUCHES, SHELVES. IT’S REALLY DEVASTATING TO SEE THE DAMAGE. THIS FIRE CAUSED OVER ON THE MOBILE HOME. YOU CAN SEE THE WHOLE ROOF IS BURNT DOWN AND THE WINDOW IS COMPLETELY GONE. THE NEW CASTLE FIRE DEPARTMENT TELLS US IT’S A COMPLETE LOSS. THEY SAY THIS FIRE STARTED AT AROUND SEVEN AT NIGHT. THEY GOT A CALL FROM ONE OF THE NEIGHBORS REPORTING A LOUD BOOM AND A IN A MOBILE HOME THAT WAS ON FIRE. OFFICIALS DO TELL US THAT A WOMAN WAS INSIDE THE HOME AT THE TIME, BUT SHE WAS ABLE TO GET OUT SAFELY. INVESTIGATORS SAY THE FIRE STARTED AFTER IT WAS STRUCK BY LIGHTNING, AND WE SPOKE TO NEIGHBORS WHO SAY THEY WERE REALLY CONCERNED DUE TO THE SIZE OF THE FLAMES. HOPEFULLY THE GAS IS OFF SO IT’S NOT GOING TO EXPLODE. AND, YOU KNOW, TAKE PLACES OUT HERE. SO IT WAS, UM, IT WAS PRETTY SCARY TO THINK THAT, YOU KNOW, IT CAN HAPPEN THIS FAST. AND A LOT OF THESE NEIGHBORS ARE JUST SHOCKED AND EVEN, LIKE, WALKING DOWN HERE. THEY SAY THEY CAN’T BELIEVE WHAT HAPPENED, AND THEY’RE JUST SURPRISED THAT IT HAPPENED SO QUICKLY. AND THEY SAY IT COULD HAVE BEEN ONE OF THEIR HOMES. WE ALSO SPOKE TO SEVERAL OF THE NEIGHBORS HERE TONIGHT. THEY DON’T HAVE POWER, AND WE DID SEE A PG&E TRUCK OUT HERE EARLIER TODAY. A mobile home in Northern California was struck by lightning on Saturday night, according to the sheriff’s office.

The lightning strike caused an explosion at Castle City Mobile Home Park, the sheriff’s office said.

Police officers in Kenosha, Wisconsin, and a brave passerby saved a man in a wheelchair from a burning building Thursday night.

Police Officer Danielle Moore’s body camera captured her running toward the house engulfed in flames just before 9 p.m.

A man outside the home told her that there were still people inside the attached garage.

An Oklahoma Highway Patrol trooper captured the moments a large tornado touched down late Monday night.

OHP officials posted a video taken by Trooper Landon Miller of the overnight tornado in Osage County, which is in northeastern Oklahoma.
