Black Friday is coming up very soon, and the sales have already started! But you can shop them all in-store or online on Nov. 24 and beyond.
Most of the “official” Black Friday sales start the day before or on Thanksgiving, but we see many sales starting weeks earlier. While this can be intimating or confusing, this means you have time to shop around and make sure you’re getting the best deals on every item you’re looking for. Major retailers will be offering weeks-long, and even month-long, Black Friday sales in 2023!
Here are some of our top tips to make sure you maximize your savings during the Black Friday season.
- Shop early! Black Friday is no longer a day or long weekend, it’s absolutely a season. We’ve seen this trend in the past few years, and it doesn’t look like it’s going away. This is especially important for the “it holiday toys” that we always see sell out quickly.
- Download the app! Many retailers have started asking people to download their app in exchange for discounts, but it’s a two-way street! In addition to getting savings, you’ll be alerted when their big sales happen and you can easily shop without having to go into the store.
- Sign up for membership programs! The biggest retailers, like Amazon and Walmart, give their members huge discounts everyday and especially during Black Friday season. This includes early access deals and exclusive items on sale.
- Buy now, pay later! If you use a buy now, pay later shopping service you can make a large purchase without maxing out your credit card. This is very helpful when you need to purchase multiple presents in a short period of time.
