Mississippi has been catching the eye of American folks looking for a new place to call home. With its affordable living costs, friendly community, and beautiful landscapes, it’s no wonder more and more people are considering a change of scenery in the Magnolia State.
According to the United Van Lines’ Annual Movers Study, Mississippi is a hotspot for people on the move, with jobs being the top reason for 35.53% of inbound traffic.
Other reasons for moving to the Magnolia State included retirement, family and wanting a new lifestyle. Interestingly, the majority of movers to Mississippi are in the 65 and older age group, making up a whopping 39.3% of new residents. Looks like Mississippi is the place to be for retirees looking for a change of scenery!
