AnthroPerks FAQs Jean Discount Outlet Promos Registry Discount Sale Savings Tips Seasonal Sales Teacher Discount

Have you ever wandered into an Anthropologie, only to surface two hours later, dazed, several hundred dollars poorer, and clutching a set of whitewashed iron candlesticks or a dry-clean-only cashmere vest?

You aren’t alone. Anthropologie stores are designed to dazzle with colorful vignettes of one-of-a-kind housewares and eclectic clothing. Creative décor, sophisticated window treatments, warm lighting and artisan-crafted displays are all designed to create an immersive shopping experience that transports you to far-off lands — all while coaxing you into spending money.

Now, I love Anthropologie as much as the next 30-something-year-old millennial female living in Austin, but after a few too many trips to their whimsical, custom-lit stores, I felt it in my bank account. That’s why I — along with my fellow Anthropologie-loving RetailMeNot editors — have created a guide on how to save at Anthropologie.

Here is every single Anthropologie shopping tip, savings hack and deal-hunting strategy we could find:

1. Join the AnthroPerks Rewards Program

AnthroPerks is the Anthropologie rewards program. Join for free, and you’ll unlock a host of benefits, including:

  • Access to exclusive promotions and new arrivals.
  • Free shipping on orders of $50 or more.
  • A $20 off welcome reward.
  • A $20 birthday coupon.
  • Special offers, receipt lookup for paperless returns and more.

2. Shop the Regular Anthropologie Sale Section

In the Anthropologie sale section, you’ll find deep discounts on apparel and home décor. By “deep,” I mean up to a whopping 90%. The best part is that you don’t have to wait around for a special holiday or limited-time event — in the Anthropologie sale collection, deals are available year-round.

3. Shop Anthropologie Seasonal Sales

Anthropologie doesn’t throw as many annual sales as, say, Express or Gap. However, the brand throws the occasional holiday sale, such as its Memorial Day and Mother’s Day sales. In addition, Anthropologie has thrown summer and winter tag sales. The Anthropologie summer tag sale has traditionally happened around June and July, while the winter tag sale pops up around December and January.

In June 2023, Anthropologie delighted shoppers with its first-ever Gleaming Primrose Mirror Event, which offered 30% off the super popular mirror.

Anthropologie Black Friday

Anthropologie is one store you need on your Black Friday shopping list. In 2023, the retailer offered an extra 50% off sale merchandise and 30% off never-on-sale styles for shoppers in stores and online. The sale started early, and as the weekend progressed, the savings only deepened.

4. Visit an Anthropologie Outlet Store

Located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania (follow their Instagram page) and Gilbert, Arizona, the Anthropologie Outlet offers tons of home furniture and decor for a fraction of their original prices. Everything is a final sale. Outlets host pop-ups and flash sales throughout the year. If you’re lucky enough to live near one of these, why shop anywhere else?

5. Get a Discount on a New Pair of Jeans

In collaboration with Cotton’s Blue Jeans Go Green™ program, when you take your pre-owned denim to an Anthropologie store, you’ll get $20 off a new full-price pair of jeans purchase of $100 or more at Anthropologie. Blue Jeans Go Green has “diverted more than 4.2 million denim items from landfills” so far. See which other stores recycle your old clothing.

6. Get a Wedding Registry Completion Discount

Planning on tying the knot? Consider making your wedding registry with Anthropologie. If you do, you’ll receive a single-use 15% off Anthropologie promo code to use on any remaining items in your registry after your big day has passed. You can use the promo code for up to 90 days after your wedding date.

7. Catch the Anthropologie Teacher Discount

Anthropologie doesn’t offer a teacher discount all the time, but occasionally, you can score a teacher discount — and it’s a good one. The retailer has run a Teachers Appreciation promo during the back-to-school season in August and September or Teacher’s Appreciation Week in early May. To take advantage of the Anthropologie teacher discount, bring a valid teacher ID.

8. Check for Anthropologie’s Current Promos

Want to stay on top of the latest Anthropologie promo code offers? It’s always worth checking the current promotions page on the Anthropologie website, where Anthropologie helpfully lists all its current sales, deals and discount codes.

On the promotions page, you’ll also find useful information and terms for current offers, including a list of excluded brands and products, plus details on the final sale policy.

Want to set yourself up for shopping success? Before hitting up Anthropologie, here’s some important information to know:

Anthropologie Price Adjustment

The Anthropologie price adjustment policy backs their full-price merchandise with a 14-day guarantee. Basically, this means that if you finally decide to buy that pair of strappy flats or embroidered throw pillow you’ve been eyeing forever, and it goes on sale in the next two weeks, you aren’t powerless. Instead of simply shaking your fist and cursing the shopping gods, you can reach out to Anthropologie with an original sales receipt within 14 days to request a refund for the price difference.

Anthropologie Email Sign-Up

Not to be confused with AnthroPerks, the Anthropologie newsletter is another free, straightforward, minimal-commitment opportunity to save. Sign up for the Anthropologie e-newsletter to receive custom promotions, sale alerts, and more sent to your inbox. All you need to do is provide an email address.

Anthropologie Coupons

Anthropologie coupons can be fickle and tricky to find. That’s why we recommend downloading the RetailMeNot browser extension, which automatically finds, tests, and applies the best Anthropologie coupons, promo codes and cash back offers available when you check out. Less time hunting for Anthropologie promo codes means more time hunting for that perfect pair of white cowboy boots or carved teak lotion dispenser.

Free Shipping at Anthropologie

Join AnthroPerks, the store’s rewards program, for free standard shipping on orders of $50 or more. In addition to Anthropologie’s free shipping, membership gets you a birthday gift and other perks. Plus, you can use the curbside pickup to get your order even faster — and skip shipping costs altogether. Sometimes, Anthropologie offers express shipping for $5, so pay attention when that rolls around.

The Anthropologie Return Policy

The Anthropologie return policy lets you return purchases for a full refund within 30 days of purchase. They accept returns in stores and via mail. If you choose to return via mail, a $5.95 fee will be deducted from your refund. Starting June 3, Anthropologie will no longer accept returns or exchanges after one year. Note: All items ending in .95 are final sales and cannot be returned.

Free Expert Styling and Decorating Services

Anthropologie offers free personal wardrobe and home styling services from expert stylists and decorators. Appointments are available in person or virtually. You can sign up by scheduling an appointment online and filling out a quick form about your style preferences and goals. Depending on your needs, your appointment could be as simple as a brief email consultation or as involved as a multi-hour, floor-to-dressing-room experience complete with stylist-selected picks.

Anthropologie on Social Media

Follow Anthropologie on Twitter, Facebook and/or Instagram to see announcements for savings events and limited-time deals. It’s a relatively simple and reliable way to stay on top of sales and promotions and new events, products and collaborations. Plus, you’ll get plenty of freestyle and design inspiration to boot.

Pay in Installments With Klarna

You may have noticed an increasing number of retailers offering buy now, pay later programs like Klarna and Afterpay. Anthropologie, I’m happy to say, is among them. Now, you have the option to pay for your Anthropologie purchases in four interest-free installments with Klarna.

All you must do is select the Klarna option at checkout and enter your credit card details. If approved, the first payment is drafted out of your account, and then the remaining three equal payments are taken from your account automatically every two weeks. That way, they spread the cost of your purchase over six weeks.

Discounted Anthropologie Gift Cards

On verified gift card resale sites like Raise, CardCash or Gift Card Granny, you can often find gift cards for your favorite stores at discounted prices. With some digging, you may find an Anthropologie gift card for 10% off or more.
