A fight between two 16-year-old girls at Mendenhall High School ended in a stabbing.The Simpson County Sheriff’s Department said the two students were fighting in a bathroom at the school at about 8 a.m. on Tuesday when one of the students pulled out a knife and stabbed the other student multiple times.Staff members at the school had already separated the students when deputies and an ambulance arrived.The injured student was taken by ambulance to a hospital, where authorities said she was stable and talking.The other student was taken into custody and will be taken to a detention center, where she will await an appearance in Simpson County Youth Court.The incident remains under investigation.
