Kevin Brewer has been promoted to the position of Chief Sales Officer at Citizens National Bank.

In this position, Brewer will play an instrumental role in the development of the Bank’s overall sales strategy and lead the Bank’s sales force in their efforts to expand the Bank’s existing customer base as well as meet the needs of their existing customers. He will also play a vital role in the Bank’s recruitment efforts as well as the training provided to its commercial lenders.

Hampton Thames, President, recently commented: “With the Bank’s considerable growth in recent years, we need someone who is focused entirely on the Bank’s sales efforts. Kevin does a great job of thinking globally for the betterment of the entire bank. His unique insights and ‘out of the box’ thinking make him a perfect fit for this position,” Thames added.

With 23 years of banking experience, Brewer joined Citizens National Bank in 2009 as its Hattiesburg Market President and was promoted to serve as the Bank’s South Mississippi Regional President in 2013. Prior to joining Citizens National, Brewer was employed with Cadence Bank in Starkville for nine years where he became a Vice President of Commercial Banking.

Originally from Meridian, he is a 1999 graduate of Mississippi State University with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in real estate finance and a 2007 graduate of the LSU Graduate School of Banking.

He and his wife, Clare, are proud parents of two daughters, and he enjoys serving as a member of the Oak Grove Athletic Booster Club. The family also attends Temple Baptist Church where he currently serves as a deacon.

Active in the local community, Brewer has served on the Funds Allocation Committee for the United Way of Southeast Mississippi for the past four years. He also serves as a board member for the Children’s Center for Communication and Development at the University of Southern Mississippi.

Founded in 1888, Citizens National Bank is currently celebrating 135 years of service as an independent, Mississippi-owned community bank with locations in the following Mississippi communities: Hattiesburg, Laurel, Waynesboro, Olive Branch, Southaven, Columbus, Kosciusko, Carthage, Meridian, Quitman, Ridgeland, Madison, and Flowood.

The Bank has assets in excess of $1.6 billion and manages an additional $1.6 billion in its Wealth Management Division, which is committed to assisting clients with the accumulation, preservation, and transfer of wealth.  Learn more about Citizens National Bank by visiting www.yourcnb.com
